Antje Nagel

Dr. Antje Nagel (*1966) heads the University Museum in Hamburg, which opened in 2019. The museum scholar and curator also studied social and economic history, was a trainee at the Rhineland Museum of Industry, and did a doctorate in the history of technology. She has worked as a curator and head curator and she developed the Museum of Medical History in Hamburg and the University Museum. Antje Nagel also heads the Central Office for Scientific Collections of the Universität Hamburg. She sees museums as multifaceted educational spaces and strives to develop fun, open-ended creative opportunities for children.
